was busy supporting my didi at his national wushu competition tis couple of days.

day 1:
saw vincent ng. yep, he was spotting talents for the national team. bri tinks he'll qualify again tis yr. he got in last yr but was kicked out aft a few mths. anyway, he beat alfred by 0.4 in duan nan quan today. alfred is his "shifu", a member of the s'pore national team n xin xiu federation - elite wushu training sch. so it was a shocking victory. coz the whole tao nan camp expected their star to triumph. but anyway, its still tao nan's glory. 1st n 2nd come frm my dear 'mother' sch leh. today, andy won champ too. putting tao nan in the lead for the junior boys catergory. the junior gals oso did v well. so far, still champions.

apparently, tns hv been winning yr aft yr so muz defend their crown. somemore hv homeground adv. jia you!!!

day 2:
bri got 2nd in the san duan dao category. despite being the last in line, he beat 43 other strong contenders. shocking the whole unruly china crowd. no offence but they were shouting n jeering everyone else in support of their own clan members. monopolising a whole load of chairs n blocking everyone's view. i guess they were pissed tt he won their own participant.

alfred lost the 3rd postion of si duan dao to bernie. by a mere 0.2. i guess its not his lucky day since bernie like bri is a national team reject. did i mention bernie is soooo cute? he looks juz like a smaller version of edison chen. serious. my camera isn't v clear bcoz of the glaring hall lights but their eyes r soooo similar. n i tink his pri 4 sis is v cute n pretty too. other then the fact tt she says i'm old!!! lolx. gd looks runs in the family i guess. coz his K1 sis oso v chio.

ps. bri say's i'm his lucky star. coz i was late today, thanks to my slow manicurist.. n he lost his cudgel category. wat a massive blow. tis catergory is supposed to be bernie's best but he came in 5th. sad case. but still, tao nan is strongly in the lead. coz andy n alfred came in 1st n 2nd in their spear category respectively. btw, andy can do a no-hand cartwheel. pro sia. bernie n alfred can do it half-way but i strongly tink tt bri shld stick to using his hands to prevent the risk of breaking his neck!

n i wanna add tt tao nan has rich kids. it so true lah. last time even donating nkf card give me pressure coz ppl hv parents putting in hundreds of dollars n they hv pagers i dun hv. now, everyone carries a hp, branded bags n fat wallets. (bri juz lost his 7250i lah. n he carries a ripcurl wallet frm aust. i tink mommy spoils him.)

anyway, digressing already. juz to pt out why tns students seem to be better off then other pri schs.

1. i counted 3 "billabong", 1 "quicksilver" , 2 "roxy" n many "barbie" pencil cases while they were rushing out hmwrk. the neighbouring camp (poi ching sch) has zero of such pencil cases only normal "bought-frm-popular" sort.
2. dun get me started on their fat n branded wallets. most of them hv 'billabong' wallets bought frm behind the counter. those over $40 sort tt they lock up behind glass shelves.
3. n 3/4 of the spec wearing population wear the latest plastic frames. they look so cute. like fashionista wannabes!
4. each tao nan participant has 3 sets of competition wear made out of pure silk. (each costs $60.) all the other schs hv 1 standard outfit.
5. they all carry addidas or nike shoebags while their other peers carry shoebags given by their schs during children's day or even bring their shoes in plastic bags.
6. all parents in the tao nan camp carry the latest digicams. *envious* i even saw some parents frm other areas still using the film sorta camera.
7. monfort junior sch student to tns pupil: "wah. ur hall hv aircon. my sch only hv wall fans."
8. poi ching sch student to another tns pupil: "ur sch is a big, giant maze. twice mine!"
   tns pupil: "r u kidding me?"

so i conclude, tt tao nan pupils r so stuck-up many a times is bcoz they hv been brought up n exposed to such an environment since young. hehe. an excuse to my materialism. but honestly, they r a bunch of spoilt pri sch kids. juz like my lil bro. who's screaming now by the way.
