juz finished watching 'charlie and the chocolate factory' it was an entertaining show wif a nice ending but i found the overall plot kinda full of dark humour. perhaps, i'm reading too much into it but i found some scenes pretty shocking, distasteful n downright sadist.

wat izzit wif happy singing dolls being burnt wif melting skin n popping eyeballs in the beginning of the movie? nothing wrong abt the kids getting into trouble but a big joke is made out of it wif the singing n dancing. as if pleasure is derived frm another's misery. btw, the oompa-loompas look horrible. its true. so repulsive n sickening. willy wonka oso behave like some mad psycopath!! well, tis is my interpretation. n it wasn't as magnificant as i expected it to be frm the storybooks.. kinda disappointing. =(

hope tmr's viewing wld be more pleasant.. i hv 'enough' by jennifer lopez n 'the princess diaries: the royal engagement' left for tmr... *winks*
